Open House Order Form

LCMS Open House- Reschedule for Monday, October 2nd

Lawton Chiles Middle School Open House for the 2017-2018 school year will take place on Tuesday, September 12th. This is a great opportunity for you to come to campus, learn about the classes your children are taking, and see some of the great programs offered at LCMS. Open house will officially begin at 6:30 pm with some pre-activities taking place as early as 6:00 pm. Students will bring home an information flyer next week. Here are some key details to be aware of:
  • A National History Day informational meeting will start at 6:00 pm in the black box theater for parents of students in Advanced or Pre-AP U.S. History.
  • Parents who need assistance signing up for Skyward Family Access or eCampus can stop by the Media Center beginning at 6:00 pm.
  • Light refreshments will be available for purchase in the courtyard with proceeds supporting our NJROTC program.
  • The School Store will be open with many items for sale in our campus restaurant.
  • PTSA Memberships and Coupon Books will be available for purchase in the entranceway breezeway at the front of the school.
  • The NJROTC will retire the flag for the day with a brief ceremony at 6:25pm – if you are on campus, please come to the courtyard at this time to join us.
  • The evening will conclude shortly after 8:00 pm.

Flu Clinic Will Be @ LCMS Thursday, October 19th

Healthy Schools, in cooperation with Seminole County Public Schools and the Florida Department of Health in Seminole County, is excited to kick off the “Teach Flu a Lesson” program for 2017! Healthy Schools is scheduled to be in your Seminole County Public School between 10/19/17 and 10/24/17.


· On your phone, tablet or computer type in your browser,

· Follow the simple instructions and make sure you fill out all the required information

· Please provide your Insurance/Medicaid information. We will bill for the flu vaccination we provide. There will be NO out of pocket cost. If you have no insurance, your child will still receive a flu vaccine at NO COST

· Read the VIS and electronically sign your name

· You will receive a confirmation email that you have signed up. Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not see the confirmation in your inbox

· Your personal information submitted to Healthy Schools is kept private and secure. Our Privacy

Practices are on our website,


· Our staff of trained and skilled nurses will provide your child a CDC and ACIP recommended pediatric flu vaccine

· You will receive electronically a Vaccination Confirmation Letter and a Notice of Privacy Practices

· If for some reason your child is not vaccinated, you will receive electronically a letter stating that they were not vaccinated

Comprehensive Science

2017 Panther Cross-Country

There will be an informational meeting Wednesday, October 4th during homeroom at the picnic tables outside the Growl Grill. Please contact Coach Rohr (4-217) or Coach Capp (2-210) if you have any questions.

You must have a(n):
                   1. Physical to practice and compete in meets on SCPS Physical Form                                                       
                   2. Consent/release form

                   3. Middle School Sportsmanship Agreement Viewed and signed (to be completed at the parent meeting)
                   4. Athletic Fee $50
5. Required parent meeting after practice on October 24th

First day of practice is Monday, October 16th.

Junior Varsity- Must be able to run 1.5 miles.
Varsity- Must be able to run 2.0 miles.    

Regular practice times are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after school from 4-5 pm.
