2017 Summer Reading

LCMS would like to continue to promote the love of reading and continue to develop literary skills over the summer break. All students are required to read and participate in summer reading. The assignment has been distributed to our rising 7th and 8th graders before the end of this school year and has been distributed to our feeder elementary schools for our incoming 6th grades. The accompanying link provides the specific assignment and due date. Students may obtain a copy of the novel from local libraries, online, or purchase at specific Barnes & Noble locations (Oviedo Market Place, Altamonte Mall and Waterford Lakes).

Seminole County Virtual School Summer 2017 High School Registration Form

8th Graders interested in taking a virtual class this Summer:

Please stop by the 8th grade office to pick up your registration form (with all of the available classes listed) and instructions for online registration. They are located on the counter in front of Mrs. Tucker's desk. Once you have registered online for the course, please return the form to Mrs. Stivers by the last day of school, 5/26, so that she can mail it to the virtual school for you and approve your course.

The most popular course that many of our 8th graders take over the Summer is Personal Fitness. It is a high school credited PE course that will give you a one-semester credit (.5) and allow you to take another elective in its place.

Please see Mrs. Stivers in the 8th grade office if you have any questions.
