Dear Panther families,
Last Thursday, the LCMS Cheer Team and Dr. Laudani represented the Panthers in the OHS Homecoming Parade.
Congrats to all of our new Beta Club members, inducted last Thursday! We are so proud!
LCMS visited the Kia Center on Friday night to see the Orlando Magic dominate the Miami Heat. Thanks to Mrs. Ziolkowski for organizing the event and getting these three awesome panthers on the court with the players!
Congratulations to our Boys JV & Varsity Volleyball Teams who are the District Champions! Not only did both teams win the championship, but they won every match, all season long, never dropping a single set! Way to go Boys!! Shout out also to the Girls Varsity Team for a great effort all season.
Last Saturday our RoboPanthers1 and RoboPanthers2 joined teams from 17 schools across Central and West Florida for an exciting FIRST LEGO League Scrimmage featuring robot competition, robot design, innovation projects, and Outstanding Core Values. Both teams excelled, impressing judges with their presentation skills, creativity, and teamwork. We are proud of their hard work and enthusiasm and cannot wait to see them shine as they move on to Qualifiers.
Earlier this week, we recognized 367 students who earned All A's on their 1st quarter report card! Way to go, Panthers - we are so proud of you!!
Tuesday, our Concert, Symphonic, and Jazz bands held their Fall Band Concert at Hagerty High School. What a wonderful performance by our talented students, led by Mrs. Kuperman. Videos in the comments. Go Panthers!
A few weeks ago we were able to celebrate our amazing instructional coaches!! Thank you Ms Brinker-Martin and Ms Edwards!!!
Pictures from this week are HERE.
Enjoy this week's Paws52 Broadcast HERE.
Have a great week!
Dr. Laudani

Thank you to those of you who have reached out with questions regarding the changes being made during B Lunch. I want to assure you that we have been actively addressing inappropriate behaviors as they occur through staff supervision, redirection, and appropriate consequences. We have staff circulating throughout the cafeteria each day and have continued to reinforce our PAWS expectations. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, we continue to experience significant disruptions that impact students' ability to enjoy lunch in a safe, orderly environment. As a result, we are implementing a reset and adding more structure to our lunch procedures.
Today, students entered the cafeteria, found a seat, and waited for their table to be dismissed to the lunch line. The process was successful: all students were served, had plenty of time to eat, and the cafeteria environment was noticeably calmer and more organized. Beginning Monday, students will be seated with their fourth-period classes to help reduce congestion, improve supervision, and reinforce positive cafeteria behaviors. Our goal is not to punish students, but to create a lunch environment where all students can eat, socialize appropriately, and return to class ready to learn.
Once students become familiar with and consistently follow the new procedures, we plan to introduce positive incentives and recognition for those who demonstrate our PAWS expectations. We are currently working through the logistics, but ideas include recognizing our best-behaved classes or tables and providing rewards such as outdoor lunch opportunities on Fridays or special treats. We want to ensure that students who are making positive choices are acknowledged and celebrated. Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to make B Lunch a positive experience for everyone.

In an effort to help shape the culture of our school, LCMS administration and leadership teams have decided to revisit the school mission and vision statement.
Our mission statement focuses on our overall objectives as a school, and how we aim to reach those objectives, while our vision statement is a goal, and a reflection of what we want to become as a school in the coming years.
These statements will represent us, what we believe in, and what we want to achieve as a school, so we are asking that all those who hold stake in our success (students, staff, and families) respond to the short survey below.
Our current Mission Statement is: We are a collaborative environment embracing diversity and supporting the local community, focused on developing students to be productive lifelong learners able to compete on a global scale through self-directed learning, critical thinking, creative expression, and inquiry based study. We do not have a vision statement.
Please provide your input HERE by Friday, November 13.
