Reminder: Clinic Permissions

Each year, parents/guardians must sign and complete a new consent form for all health care services offered by the district including the care and treatment for illness and injury, as well as the variety of health screenings the district provides. This consent is required for treatment in the clinic.

In addition, parents/guardians must complete a Student Clinic Card at the beginning of every school year – this document, along with the Parental Consent for School Health Services, is available online to complete for the 2025-2026 school year.

The parent/guardian Consent for School Health Services form, as well as the SCPS Student Clinic Card can be found in Skyward Family Access to complete. Please click here to login and complete the necessary form ASAP.

For additional information on Skyward Family Access or how to login to Skyward Family Access, please click here.

Safety Reminders

We have been asked to share a safety concern experienced this first week of school with students on e-bikes and e-scooters.

At several of our locations, students are not stopping when asked by our school crossing guards. Instead, many are riding directly through the crosswalks into traffic, often ignoring safety directions. We have also seen students riding down the middle of the road, weaving in and out of cars, and even popping wheelies.

While it may be difficult to address specific individuals, our main concern is the safety of these students in our community. Our crossing guards are doing their best to educate the students on the importance of stopping at the crosswalk, but we would greatly appreciate your support. If possible, could you please reinforce:
  • Even when riding e-bikes or e-scooters, students are still required to stop at the safety lines with the school crossing guards.
  • Students should walk their bikes/scooters across the intersection while being assisted by the guard.
  • It is important students show respect to our School Crossing Guards, who are there to keep them safe as they travel to and from school every day from traffic dangers.

There are too many drivers on the road who may not be paying attention, and it would be devastating if someone were to be injured due to unsafe practices.

We know the first week of school is always hectic, both inside the schools and in our communities, but your support would make a tremendous difference.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to keep our students safe.

FAST PM1 Testing

FAST PM1 will be held on the following dates:
  • 8/25 - FAST ELA - 6th graders
  • 8/26 - FAST Math - 6th graders
  • 9/4 - FAST ELA - 7/8th graders
  • 9/5 - 7/8th graders
On these days, students not testing will follow their normal schedule. Students who are testing should be done in time to attend their normal 4th period and lunch.

The second day of testing (8/26 & 9/5), the classes will be reversed - starting with 7th period and ending with 1st, to allow students who are testing to attend all 7 classes once over the 2 days of testing. Early release students can arrive at the normal time and still leave early - they will miss their 1st period class on that day.
