Principal Update

As we enter the season of gratitude and thanksgiving, I would just like to extend a sincere "Thank You" to all of you. Last night, Ms. Forrester and I attended Middle School Expo Night at Choices in Learning. We may not have had all of the big fancy signs that some of the other schools did, but we the majority of the families came by to visit and talk with us. Most of them were aware of LCMS and shared that they had all heard good things. Many took our information and then went to the SAPA table to get information on how to transfer. So, thank you. Thank you for always spreading the word about LCMS to your friends and neighbors. I can't believe we are talking about the class of 2033!

Also, last night was the first concert for our Beginning Band students - and their parents got in on the fun! We can't wait to see how these musicians grow under Mrs. Kuperman and Mrs. Autrey.

And, lastly, for the 1st time in 17 years - our JV Boys Volleyball Team is District Champions!! Thank you Coach Capp & Coach Stone for an amazing season. Special shout out to the Varsity Boys team who came to cheer on the JV team to the win.

Have a great weekend.

Have a great week!

LCMS Teach-In Tuesday, November 18, 2025

Parents, community members, and friends of Seminole County Public Schools, make plans now to be a part of Teach-In 2025 on Tuesday, November 18th.

What does it mean to “Teach for a Day”?  LCMS invites you to share your time and talents with our students through career exploration and/or introducing them to new experiences! Plan to share a short lesson about your job, travel, hobby, sport, or life skill. Teach-In highlights the importance of bringing together teachers, school staff, parents, students and the community in a unified effort to support our students and schools. Volunteer for one class period or for the entire day!

Teach-In for the 2025-2026 school year will be held during American Education Week on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. If you are interested, please complete the form below. If you have specific questions, you can reach out to Dr. Taylor at taylorjd@myscps.us.

After School Tutorial

Tutoring starts October 7, 2025 and concludes on April 23, 2026 and will be held from 4:15-5:15 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students will receive homework help as well as tutoring in math and reading by teachers and high school students.

Transportation will only be available from LCMS to Geneva Elementary (for those who live in Geneva only. The bus will arrive @ Geneva at 5:40 pm). All others will need to secure a ride after school. Pick up will be promptly at 5:15 pm. If your child will be walking home from LCMS on these days, there will not be a crossing guard to assist.

As a reminder, students participating in the after school tutorial program are expected to follow school expectations and guidelines. These standards ensure a safe and positive environment for everyone. Students who do not uphold these expectations may be dismissed from the program.
