Congratulations to Sadie Storey who represented LCMS in the 2025 Youth Drug Prevention Art Contest! Before Spring Break, the Seminole County Sherriff's Office recognized Sadie and others in an award ceremony that recognized and highlighted each student’s unique artistic expression and commitment to making healthy, positive choices. The event was not just about showcasing artwork, but about emphasizing the powerful messages behind each piece. Congratulations, Sadie!!
Our Concert and Symphonic Bands—representing over 150 dedicated student musicians—delivered truly outstanding performances last Tuesday at their Music Performance Assessments. Each ensemble performed three contrasting works on stage for a panel of three adjudicators, demonstrating both musical depth and technical excellence.
Following their stage performance, the students moved to the sight-reading room, where they were given an extraordinary challenge. They had only three minutes to silently study a march and five minutes to review an overture, with no instruments allowed during preparation. At the conclusion of that brief study time, the ensembles were required to perform the pieces immediately—without any verbal assistance from their directors—relying solely on their musicianship, focus, and preparation.
We are incredibly proud to share that both ensembles earned straight Superior ratings from every single adjudicator. This remarkable achievement reflects the students’ exceptional dedication, discipline, and countless hours of preparation. Their performances were a powerful showcase of the talent and commitment that define our band program.
Special shout out to Mrs. Kuperman and Mrs. Autrey for their leadership of this amazing program.
Congratulations to the over 100 students who were inducted into the National Beta Club this evening! Shout out to the sponsors, Mrs. Brady & Mrs. Greer for coordinating.
We are proud to have celebrated over 300 All A Honor Roll students who received their certificates this week. What an incredible accomplishment!
Paxon V. cashed in his Paws Bucks to be Principal for a Day. He helped with morning and lunch duty, got a behind the scenes tour, and helped out with some classroom walkthroughs. Way to go Principal Paxton! Want to be Principal for a Day? See Dr. Bridges or Dr. Laudani.
