Principal Update

As we get closer to the end of the year, the weeks get busier and busier!

Earlier this month, 6th grade ELA enjoyed a readers theater performance of the Greek play “Damon and Pythias” and learning the elements of a drama on a beautiful Friday!

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for the month of April. These students were nominated by our administrative team!

On Friday, Mrs. Brinker-Martin and Mrs. Edwards graduated from the UF Lastinger Center Coaching program. Mrs. Edwards and the other SCPS Math Coaches were the first ever group to graduate from the Math Coaching program. Thank you for furthering your education to better help our teachers and students. Congratulations!!

Congratulations to our LCMS Pantherettes on their Spring Showcase Friday night. What talented dancers!

Congratulations to both our Girls and Boys Varsity basketball teams for winning their games on Saturday and moving into the Final Four tournament!

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball team who beat Rock Lake, advancing to the championship game tomorrow against Jackson Heights. Both JV teams will also play in their championship games; both against Rock Lake. Special shout out to the Boys varsity team on a great season! Go Panthers!

Congratulations our very own PTSA VP, Yadi Soto, who was sworn in as the 2026-2027 President of the Seminole County Council PTA.

Spring Fiesta! What an afternoon!! This event truly came to life thanks to the incredible Student Council—from crafting those tricky scavenger hunt riddles (be honest… did anyone find #7?!), to spreading the word with flyers, lining up brave teachers for pie-in-the-face moments (Ms. Illemsky… we saw that first dodge IYKYK), and picking out some awesome prizes. We are so thankful you let us partner with you on this event—it was amazing to see your ideas come to life! We hope everyone had as much fun as we did… and stayed cool with that ice-cold Kona Ice of NE Orlando on a HOT afternoon. Huge shoutout to our volunteers, admin, and teachers for helping everything run smoothly and jumping in on the fun!

We would like to Congratulate both the JV and Varsity Girls basketball teams for playing and winning two very exciting games, the girls JV won by 14 points and the Varsity girls came back from being down 14 at halftime and winning by two points. And Congratulations to the boys JV basketball team who dominated their opponents all season and for winning their game 52-36 making them Seminole county champions also. And we would like to thank all our students who came out and cheered on the basketball teams to their victories, it was a lot of fun.

Yesterday, Mrs. Rose's 6th grade ELA class enjoyed a game of Battleship to review FAST Standards Mastery.

Today, Elijah cashed in his Paws Bucks to be Principal for a Day. He helped with morning and lunch duty, got a behind the scenes tour, helped out with some classroom walkthroughs, and got a preview of the Band and Chorus concerts. Way to go Principal Elijah! Want to be Principal for a Day? See Dr. Bridges or Dr. Laudani.

Last night was the Band Spring Concert, featuring performances from Beginning Band, Advanced Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Jazz Band. What a talented group of students! Special shout out to Band Directors, Mrs. Kuperman and Mrs. Autrey, as well as their intern Ms. Leavitt. Beautiful performances, Panthers!

Pictures of all of these events can be found HERE.
